Bob Yayac brings more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and business leader to his role as CEO at Kynectiv™, Inc. He is responsible for the company’s strategic vision and oversees all efforts related to the organization’s growth and profitability. Yayac co-founded Kynectiv in 2010.
In addition to his role as CEO at Kynectiv, Yayac is a board member of the Business Leaders Network and a past board member of the Wharton Alumni Club of Philadelphia. He received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BS from Randolph-Macon College.
JB McGee, MD leads the Scientific Advisory Board that provides guidance and direction to Kynectiv, Inc. with regard to simulation, virtual patients and eLearning for healthcare education. His Laboratory for Educational Technology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine conceived, designed and developed the virtual patient simulation platform on which DecisionSim™ is based — vpSim™.
JB is the Assistant Dean for Medical Education Technology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and a practicing gastroenterologist. In addition, JB is also the co-chair of the Virtual Patient Working Group at MedBiquitous (a medical education standards-developing organization).
As Vice President of Technology, René Smith is responsible for the direction and development of our company’s technology, keenly focused on providing successful, data-driven outcomes for clients. René has spent more than 25 years in senior management positions at both large and small companies and brings a wealth of experience in guiding organizations through significant growth and change.
René graduated with a BS in Finance and Management Information Systems from Drexel University, an MBA from St. Joseph’s University, and an MS in Systems Engineering from University de Lausanne.
As the Vice President of Operations at Kynectiv, Inc., Jeff is responsible for the strategy, execution and management of all of the aspects of our business operations. Jeff works closely with our clients, partners and vendors to ensure successful implementation of our solutions and maximum value to our clients.
Jeff brings more than 30 years of experience in Operations and Business Management to his role at Kynectiv, Inc. He received his MBA from the University of Massachusetts and his BS from the University of Michigan.
As the Director of Instructional Design and Learning Solutions, Dr. Kira King works side-by-side with our clients to help them develop and deploy engaging and effective educational programs with DecisionSim. Kira specializes in story-based instructional design and has a passion for creating medical training and simulation.
Kira holds a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University and a Masters Degree in Computers and Education from Columbia University.
As Director of Medical Education, Amanda leads our business development efforts with CME providers, professional societies and partners. She is also responsible for ensuring optimal use of our platform and the resulting data, allowing our partners to deliver innovative, impactful education to their audiences. Amanda has been an industry leader for over seven years and has over ten years of clinical research and medical education experience.
With expertise in adult learning principles, outcomes analysis and CME-related research, Amanda brings a unique perspective to Kynectiv’s partners. Amanda earned her Certified CME Professional credential in March 2011. Her research career includes experience at both Johns Hopkins University and the University of Colorado and she received her MS and PhD degrees from Colorado State University.
As Director of Professional Services, Jennifer oversees customer support, product development and training. Jennifer brings significant value with over 20 years of experience in consulting and client services to the role.
Jennifer comes to Kynectiv, Inc. after several years as principal and owner of a consulting business. Prior to starting her own company, Jennifer worked in the areas of training, systems integration and client services with state and federal government clients, small start-ups and large, public companies. Jennifer received her MS in Management from Liberty University and her BS in Finance from Drexel University.
As Director of Learning & Development for Kynectiv, Dr. Shaw-Hones will lead our business efforts in the Life Sciences. Gayle’s goal is to empower clients to “break the box” using Kynectiv’s simulation platform and its behavioral outcome reporting.
Using her expertise in learning experience design and learning strategy, Gayle brings a unique perspective to our team and our partners. She will soon complete her ROI certification through the ROI institute, has a Nursing degree and Masters in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University, and a PhD in Educational Technology and Curricula Design from Drexel University.
